Due to the size of the restaurant and it's popularity, dinner reservations are highly recommended. The Cafe is open to the public but also wants to provide a quality dining service to lodge guests.

The Cafe has an extensive wine list with a number of selections available by the glass. The Snug Bar is fully licensed and provides beverage service to the Cafe and lobby area of the Lodge.
The Cafe Kandahar staff is available to host holiday parties, banquets, wedding receptions, business luncheon/dinners for parties of 25 or more. Please call us to inquire about this special service.
We are proud to announce our wine dinner series for 2012!
Some new formats will take place this winter, beginning with a casual wine tasting dinner party on January 26th complete with door prizes and fabulous wines being poured. This is a chance to stock your cellar while enjoying some delectable offerings from Cafe Kandahar.
Up next on February 9th, will be an Italian themed wine dinner, followed on February 21st by a Mardi Gras dinner on Fat Tuesday.
The highlight of the series will be the James Beard House Fundraising dinner, on March 15th, when Chef Andy Blanton will prepare the same menu he will offer at the Beard House, later in the spring, right here in Montana at Cafe Kandahar!
Finally the wine dinner series will conclude with a five course vegan dinner, on March 21st the night of the Spring Equinox, showcasing the fresh spring ingredients.

Cafe Kandahar welcomes the Wounded Warriors February 1, 2012
Cafe Kandahar is once again proud to welcome the Wounded Warriors, their families and guests to dinner on Wednesday February 1, 2012.
Please join us to honor and thank them for their service and sacrifice.
We will host a reception with hors d' oeuvres begining at 5:15 PM in the Lobby of the Kandahar Lodge and then enjoy a sit down dinner at 6:00 PM in Cafe Kandahar.
Chef Andy Blanton will create a three course menu for your dining pleasure.
Cost is $40 per person.
Seating is limited.

"What's News and New"
From Cafe Kandahar
What's New is that you can now have Chef Andy come to your home to prepare a meal for your friends, family, business meetings, that special occasion or just because. You can enjoy watching Chef Andy prepare your meal or just entertain your guests while Chef Andy takes care of all the details.
We are offering two different styles of an event. One is an appetizer/tapas dinner. The other is a sit-down dinner.
Appetizer/Tapas options:
5-7 appetizer selections: $25 per person for standard, $30 per person for premium, $40 per person for ultra-premium
8-10 appetizer selections: $35 per person for standard, $40 per person for premium, $50 per person for ultra-premium
11-13 appetizer selections: $45 per person for standard, $50 per person for premium, $60 per person for ultra-premium
*Appetizer selections are based upon the discretion of Chef Andy Blanton, depending on the nature of the event, the number of people, and the time of year.
Sit down dinner options:
3 course (includes 2-3 passed appetizers): $100 per person, or $125 per person for wine pairing (add $25 per person for premium wine selection)
5 course (includes 3-4 passed appetizers): $130 per person, or $160 per person for wine pairing (add $40 per person for premium wine selection)
7 course (includes 2-3 passed appetizers): $165 per person, or $215 per person for wine pairing (add $50 per person for premium wine selection)
*Dinner selections, including passed appetizers, are based upon the discretion of Chef Andy Blanton, depending on the nature of the event, the number of people, and the time of year.
There is a $1,000 food and beverage minimum for either the appetizer/tapas or the sit down dinner; a fee will be added if the minimum is not met.
Additional fees not included in the above prices:
- $250 minimum for Chef Andy's appearance for appetizer/tapas
- $500 minimum for Chef Andy's appearance for sit down dinner
- A transportation/cleanup fee may be assessed, depending on the nature and location of event
- Rental fees may be assessed for larger sit-down dinners
- 10% gratuity assessed for Andy Kriss's appearance for wine pairings and/or presentation
- minimum subject to change based upon availability
